BUSF Spain deployed a first-response team immediately to carry out search and rescue operations, finding and rescuing two survivors. Medical assistance and water purification were provided for weeks, followed by a post-emergency phase involving the construction of schools and water supply systems. This was a joint effort by the entire Ibero-American Network (Peru, Guatemala, and Nicaragua).
