At BUSF, as well as being committed to aid, with development cooperation projects and response to major international emergencies (catastrophes) , we also work actively responding to local needs at home.

Nuestras actividades

We actively participate in national and local emergency response and prevention plans. Some of our tasks include:
Direct response in natural disasters:
travel to the affected area, direct action for the search and rescue of buried or missing persons, safeguarding the safety of citizens, support for humanitarian work, installation of field hospitals, donation of equipment, etc.
Internal and External Training
Training for firefighters, health workers and professionals from different fields specialising in the immediate response to major emergencies, natural disasters and sustainable development cooperation projects.
Awareness-raising activities:
Workshops and talks in schools, social centres and to the general public.
Community events:
We join fun runs, environmental clean-up days, local associations’ activities
Logistical support
we distribute food to soup kitchens

Programs, campaigns, and activities in Spain

Together in the quest for good nutrition
As part of this programme, we worked with soup kitchens and other organisations to ensure that people in vulnerable situations had access to quality food.

School solidarity campaign
Every September, we raise funds so that children in need can start school with the necessary school equipment.
Toy campaign
This Christmas campaign aims to collect funds and toys to brighten up the holidays for children at the social institutions and soup kitchens with which BUSF collaborates.
Technical Advisory Activities
At BUSF, we offer our international disaster response expertise to Spanish institutions when needed. This includes participation in initiatives like the Tsunami Plan in Huelva and various emergency events and congresses.
