Our response team

Did you know that it is not just firefighters who make up BUSF? We are a diverse team of emergency experts, from medical personnel to canine guides and drone pilots.

Being a firefighter is a calling, but in this NGO I’ve found a way to go further. Not just in emergencies, but also in prevention, awareness, and helping those who need it most. It’s about bringing experience, effort, and time to make the world a fairer place, because every action, no matter how small, counts.

I joined BUSF almost by chance, but since then it has become a part of my life. Thanks to it, I’ve met incredible people, taken part in international projects, and learned every day. Commitment and effort are key, but the reward is always greater.

Fifteen years in this NGO mean much more than time: they mean family, learning, and commitment. From disaster response to training and cooperation, every experience has allowed me to grow and contribute. Saving lives, improving others, and sharing knowledge with those who believe, as I do, that solidarity transforms the world.

Acceptance from my BUSF colleagues was deeply rewarding and remains even more so when you receive the heartfelt and sincere gratitude of those we’ve helped—especially the children, with their hugs and smiles.

Teamwork is the secret behind achieving uncommon results. This is BUSF. Change is impossible without cooperation, and in this family, we all row in the same direction.

Being part of BUSF can be summed up as Life, because everything surrounding it is life—not only during disasters, which require our immediate help and support afterward—but life in the people, children included, who also need us and to whom we never hesitate to extend a helping hand.
